Photography

I really caught the bug of photography when my daughter was born. The first two weeks after she was born, she was in the NICU at the hospital with low blood sugar related issues. This led to us missing the nice baby photos you get at the hospital during the first few days. They couldn’t exactly take photos with tubes and needles in a baby. This led me to doing our own baby photo shoot when we arrived home. We had also bought a gigantic 4ft bear at Costco (if you have a Costco membership, I’m sure you’ve seen it) that I committed to taking a monthly photo with the bear and Riley. This is something I did every month for the first year and continue to do it once a year for as long as my daughter will let me. That gave me a lot of practice with lighting and backdrop settings. I really love photography and spend a lot of time learning techniques. Where I lack in any photography skill, I definitely make up for it with advanced photo editing, color grading and retouching. This page is a glimpse of my journey of learning.
